Successes in the Slum

Since 2016, we have helped transform lives in Mukuru kwa Njenga and beyond by empowering two generations within families—parents and children—through business creation and education.

  • 140+ small businesses launched for parents, youth, and community members recovering from trauma. These enterprises provide sustainable incomes, restoring dignity and independence.

  • 240+ children educated from primary school to college and nursing school—each one representing a family breaking free from poverty.

  • 86% business survival rate after four years, proving the resilience of our people and the strength of our empowerment model.

  • 60% of supported children rank in the top 10% of their classes, showing how education unlocks lasting success.

Our Goals for the Slum

Our goal is to double the number of families rescued and rehabilitated each year. To achieve this, we are strengthening partnerships with NGOs and Community-Based Organizations to expand safety, opportunity, and hope for women and children.

Tribal Village Successes and Goals

In this village, called Kajiado, we have established 35 businesses for a widows’ support group, enabling them to send multiple orphaned children to school. Restored dignity and opportunity through sustainable income generation.

Our Goals for the Widows’ Village

  • Launch a group, tent rental business to fortify these widows’ small businesses during frequent droughts.

  • Intensify our campaign to end Female Genital Mutilation (FFM) by educating the surrounding villages and county.

Each success story is proof: when a mother is empowered and a child is educated, two generations rise—and the cycle of poverty and abuse is broken forever.
